We are looking to bring on a Chief of Staff to act as a trusted strategic thought partner for the Senior VP of Operations. In this role, you will be a builder and an optimizer, helping drive the business forward and providing operational oversight, support, and guidance for the organization. We believe in chasing elephants not rabbits, and are looking for someone who is energized by this as well.
In this role, you will…

Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner for the Senior VP of Operations as well as the rest of the partners on strategy, execution, operations, and structure
Work with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress on strategic initiatives aligned to the company strategy as well as set strategic vision and direction
Proactively escalate and resolve potential issues by calling them to the attention of the department heads and identifying potential solutions
Implement the appropriate tools and measurement systems to drive the adoption of new processes and standards
Create and oversee the execution of operational development and staffing plans
Prepare progress to goal presentations for executive committee and investors, as well as prioritize, focus and prepare materials for SVP as necessary
Collaborate with the leadership team, HR and finance to track, analyze and report performance KPI’s and project goals
Significantly improve overall business acumen and governance
Understand and analyze operational trends and patterns through analytics
Proactively lead the Operations team in preparation for review and correction of problem areas
Provide independent, informed, unbiased insights including on-the-ground assessments
Distill strategic discussions into executable plans enabling rigorous discussions while providing the connection points between strategic ideas
Oversee key communications and reporting across all levels of the organization to drive impactful internal and external messaging and content
Anticipate the needs of the SVP and organization, enabling the leadership team to operate more effectively and efficiently

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience working in an operational capacity in a startup environment strongly preferred
Action-oriented and creative problem-solver who thrives on complexity. Can easily navigate ambiguous situations to come up with concrete and achievable action plans
Proven track record of optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and scalability
Enthusiasm for execution, with a “do what it takes” attitude
Excellent analytical skills with high levels of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
You learn fast, really fast
Team player with proven ability to manage cross-functional interests
Strong communication skills, structured thinking and a proclivity for extreme ownership
MBA and/or marketing experience preferred though not necessary
Must be located in either Denver or Phoenix

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
