DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to, responding to questions from employees and/or customers; identifying and implementing solutions; interpreting information and applying rules and agreements; initiating and processing correspondence via various communication channels; investigating and solutioning; and maintaining confidential information.
Employees will be assigned to one of these Revenue & Disbursement Management teams. More specific job responsibilities can be found below for each team.
WAYBILLING: This position is primarily responsible for the following:
Serve as point of contact for external customers, BNSF transportation/operations and marketing personnel in addressing and resolving customer waybill issues.
Create and maintain billing patterns in the Shipping Instructions web tool and onboard customers in the use of the tool.
Assist with troubleshooting issues with arise from customer EDI billing.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Waybill Solutions objectives.
SOURCING SUPPORT: This position is primarily responsible for the following:
Serve as point of contact for external suppliers and internal field users in addressing and resolving issues related to the purchasing and invoicing of materials and services.
Utilize the Salesforce CRM Tool to facilitate resolving issues and promote the use of applications in the BNSF Supplier Portal
Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders and coordinate purchase order changes.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support BNSF buyers.
MISC. BILLING: This position is primarily responsible for the following:
Timely issuance of bills ensuring accuracy to reduce errors or customer disputes
Serve as a point of contact for external and internal customer inquiries and requests
Provide documentation to support billing
Utilize various systems to research event record information
LIABILITY RATING/GOVERNMENT BILLING/JOINT FACILITIES: This position is primarily responsible for the following:
Ability to partner with various internal groups to setup, update and manage contracts/agreements
Timely issuance of billing along with processing of invoices from 3rd party entities (customers, other railroads, agencies, etc.)
Effective resource for handling internal and external inquiries, requests and disputes
Utilize various systems to research, validate and support daily processing activities
MICROSOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENT: This position requires successful candidates to take and pass a Microsoft skills assessment test

Work weeks are 40 hours per week. Typically, shifts are weekdays, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
BNSF is a drug-free company and employees will be subject to random drug tests
Willing to submit to an employment, criminal and driving background review
Available to work in the geographic area indicated
Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English
Available to work a 40-hour work week subject to overtime that may include weeknights, weekends and holidays
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable training and/or work experience in an administrative function within an office environment and/or 4 year undergrad degree in Finance or Accounting
Able to handle multiple projects and duties simultaneously
Able to accurately input data into computer systems
Sit for extended periods of time
Basic level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and Access) and have used it in school and/or at work
Pay rates are listed at entry rate. Entry rate is 85% of full pay rate, to increase 5% per year until at 100%.
