Grassroots Voter Outreach is immediately hiring team members to join our campaign. We’re working with the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender civil rights group in Phoenix, Arizona, and looking for team members to advocate for LGBTQ+ equality and pass legislation supporting LGBTQ+ rights.
Our Equality Outreach Crew Member position is Entry Level. Although, if you have leadership experience and skills, we have great opportunities for upward mobility. This job may feel familiar to those who have experience in the service, hotel, or sales industries, as it revolves around interacting and motivating people. This job is excellent for folks interested in gaining experience in the following fields: Law, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Gender Studies, Sociology, Public Policy and Public Relations and Development.
Our crew members raise awareness for LGBTQ+ equality and fight back against everyday discrimination. Our campaign works to gather support for the Equality Act, a comprehensive civil rights bill that will grant full federal equality for ALL LGBTQ+ folks. Join our canvassing team if you want to raise awareness for LGBTQ equality and fight back against the 280+ Anti Transgender bills introduced throughout the country.
Canvassing experience is not necessary, but you must be passionate about educating members of the public about important civil rights issues.

Functions of the Equality Outreach Crew Member:
Provide context for issues and let supporters know about the nonprofit’s work and collect pledges
Respond to questions and objections in a positive and professional manner
Education on civil rights issues
Qualifications:

Ability to work outdoors, walk and stand for long periods of time
Dedication to securing equal rights for all
Interest in social change
