Position : Semi Skilled Laborer (Seasonal) Cornplanter Forest District
Job Description : THE POSITION
Do you enjoy working in the outdoors? Then join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resource’s Cornplanter Forest District and perform a variety of semi-skilled construction and maintenance work using a variety of equipment and tools to accomplish work objectives in the Forest District.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position performs facility maintenance using basic hand and power tools of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and other building trades. This position performs ground maintenance around facilities and properties by mowing, trimming, planting, leaf removal, etc.; operates chainsaws, portable generators, post hole diggers, lawn mowers, landscape equipment and other small motorized equipment in the maintenance of District facilities; and helps to maintain the operation of vehicles and equipment through routine maintenance activities. Additional work duties can be found in the position description. Work Hours: (Mon – Fri) 8:00am – 4:00pm
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:
