UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a
full-time, M-F 6:30 am-3 pm SUPPLY CHAIN TECHNICIAN 1 based at UW Medical Center-Montlake. The Supply Chain Technician (SCT 1) performs supply put away, picks, distributes, and delivers general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventorying medical supplies using handheld scanner.
Holding phone/ heavy customer service.
Delivering supplies (stat requests).
Filling Code/Crash Carts.
Cleaning and stocking minor equipment (IV Pumps, feeding pumps, etc.).
Collecting and distributing oxygen cylinders (5-7 lbs apiece).
Unloading totes and stocking supplies to bins.
Charging supplies to cost centers.
Light office duties (printer, answering phone and door, fax machine, etc.).
Various related duties. REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduation or equivalent. DESIRED:
Healthcare experience preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing the MMIS.
Knowledge of general office equipment such a fax machines, copy machines, and printers.
Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to include coworkers, management, and clinical partners.
Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening.
Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem-solving. :
Typing, use of computers, computer software, and the ability to learn software applications necessary in the performance of typical work.
Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching (overhead/extension), sitting, stooping (bend at waist), and twisting (knees/waist/neck).
Continuously grasping/handling, lifting, standing, and walking.
