Position : Customer Support Specialist – Ground Transportation
Job Description : Some of what you’ll be doing:
As a Customer Support Specialist for the Ground Transportation department, you will perform administrative tasks, customer service, billing, and statistical reporting for the Taxi Program.
You will invoice and collect revenue from drivers’ using CyberSource and PeopleSoft Financials.
You will evaluate incoming communications to identify priority or time-sensitive issues and direct the customer to the correct resource or provide a resolution.
You will provide customers with technical knowledge and troubleshoot solutions for the OnDemand Driver Portal.
You will maintain open line of communication with the accounting department to ensure invoices are closed or paid in a timely fashion.
You will process refunds, void transactions, and verify that a commercial vehicle trip was taken, and the driver paid a trip fee before issuing a refund.
You will investigate anomalies within transactional data to determine the eligibility of certain refunds.
You will maintain office hours on site at the Taxi staging lot to assist drivers with payments, refunds, answer questions, complete paperwork, and complete online forms.
You will plan, organize, and oversee workshops to engage and inform our customers on updates and changes.
You will provide reports for leadership teams on taxi activity, revenue, non-revenue, trips, and refunds.
You will review appeal cases and provide expertise to stakeholders and facilitate the citation application.
You will audit drivers’ compliance with rules and guidelines established by regulatory agencies.
Who you are:
Experienced – You have three (3) years’ experience providing general office support.
Educated – You possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired – We hope you have completed one (1) year of college coursework and four (4) years’ experience providing general office support.
Collaborator – You are someone who can work with diverse internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the organization to build relationships while providing excellent guidance and customer service.
Customer Service Minded – You have strong customer service, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills that provide effective, timely and professional outcomes for your customers.
Technologically Savvy – You have skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and leverage them to increase efficiency in your work.
Organizational Skills – You are well organized and have great time management skills. You prioritize and balance various assignments and responsibilities as needed through planning, teamwork, and collaborating with stakeholders.
What else you need to know
:
Driver’s License – You will need a valid Washington State Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one, is required in order to travel locally to project sites.
Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role.
Work Environment – You will primarily work in an office environment.
Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement – Effective, November 15, 2021, the Port of Seattle will require that at the time of hire, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be able to provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination status, as part of the hiring process. This is a condition of employment for all positions at the Port of Seattle. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine. Overtime Eligible – You are eligible for overtime pay in this role.
Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
