Job Description : Duties

Process/monitor military personnel actions including, but not limited to, in/out processing, evaluations, awards, leave requests, pay and finance actions, movement and travel orders, promotions, separations, retirements, and personnel records updates
Ensure the full range of military personnel actions comply with established regulations, policies, and procedures
Compile and analyze military personnel information
Prepare recurring statistical reports to keep unit leaders and higher headquarters informed of current and future personnel readiness matters, trends, or issues

Requirements
Conditions of Employment

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 5% or less.
All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
Position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army?s mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide.
Must sign DD Form 2365, acknowledging the conditions described above and the requirement to maintain certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct, and overall fitness to be fit for assignment to an austere/stressful combat environment.
Failure to perform the duties of this position in an emergency may result in appropriate action ? defined as separation for the efficiency of the Federal service under the procedures contained in 5 CFR 752.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience at the GG-07 grade level, or equivalent in the Federal service OR at the GG-08 grade level in the private sector which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience executing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative support functions related to the preparation of military personnel actions, manpower requirements, and spreadsheets/correspondence using a variety of office automation tools. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-07) or at the GG/GS-08 grade level in the private sector.
