Job Description : Recruitment Information

This posting is for the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Office of Medical Cannabis Control and Regulation. Duties Summary

Exempt, non-civil service, permanent, fulltime appointment. The purpose of this position is to perform on-site survey inspections of medical cannabis production centers and dispensaries to determine compliance to state licensing requirements pursuant to Act 241(SLH 2015) and applicable Hawaii Administrative Rules; to provide professional and technical expertise in the area of facility and product safety, security, inventory control, and quality; and provide education and training in regulatory requirements and protocols to various individuals, agencies, and community groups.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Master’s degree preferred and may substitute for one year of specialize experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional investigative experience such as in law enforcement or regulatory compliance or inventory or supply chain management which demonstrated: 1. Initiative, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and judgment required to collect, assemble, and develop facts and other pertinent data. 2. The ability to think logically and objectively, to analyze and evaluate facts, evidence and related information, and arrive at sound conclusions. 3. Skill in written and oral reports and presentation of investigative findings in a clear and concise manner. 4. Tact, discretion, and capacity for obtaining the cooperation and confidence of others. LICENSE: Valid Hawaii State Driver’s License required. Must satisfactorily pass a background check to include criminal history records check.
