We are currently looking for a Network Technician. This position requires work on-site at our office Monday through Thursday with an option for remote work on Fridays. The Network Technician identifies, troubleshoots and resolves problems reported by end users with servers, desktop systems, internet and other communication equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides level one help desk and end user support to LMC employees for desktop and telecommunications issues.
Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software and network related problems.
Configures and installs Windows workstations operating systems in a complex environment.
Trains end users on the use and features of the various operating systems and applications on various platforms.
Installs and troubleshoots network cabling infrastructure.
Uses established tracking system to log requests; monitors progress, tracks problem resolution, identifies patterns of failure, researches bug fixes and implements solutions; communicates with management regarding unresolved problems.
Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Works with vendors to resolve hardware operating system issues; researches and tests possible solutions and implements solutions.
Assist in network administration duties.
Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

2+ years of related work experience in network and PC operations.
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or technical school certification or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Advanced knowledge of voice communications, data communications, internet operation and VoIP operation.
Ability to install network wires and cables.
Excellent customer service focus and skill set.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work quickly and accurately on simultaneous tasks.
Advanced knowledge of operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server and Dell.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
Considerable knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite products. Willing to work on occasional weekends and/or after hours (as needed).
