Job Description : The Position

RETIREMENT – PERS
CalPERS 2.7% @ 55 (classic members) or CalPERS 2% @ 62 (new members). The employee pays the full employee portion of the retirement contribution, and the City does not participate in Social Security.

The City does not participate in the Social Security System, except for the mandatory 1.45% Medicare contribution.

All employees will contribute the equivalent of $125 per month to offset CalPERS Unfunded Accrued Liability costs. The employee contributions made pursuant to this Employee CalPERS Response Giveback Plan will be coordinated as a pre-tax contribution. Lastly, the employee contributions made pursuant to this Employee CalPERS Response Giveback Plan will be considered part of the employee contribution towards CalPERS retirement system costs.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
Cafeteria benefit allowance of $1,450 / month for use towards enrolling in any of the City offered health, dental, and vision plans.Any employee that wishes to cash out their cafeteria allowance shall receive 25% of the allowance as taxable income or deferred compensation. DENTAL INSURANCE
Cigna Dental DPO and HMO Plans are available for employee and eligible dependents
VISION INSURANCE
Vision provided through Cigna available for employee and eligible dependents
LONG TERM & SHORT TERM DISABILITY
Benefits equal 60% of employee’s base salary for qualified periods
SICK LEAVE Accrued at 8 hours per month with an unlimited accrual

MANAGEMENT LEAVE
FLSA exempt positions are credited with 60 hours of leave at the beginning of each fiscal year
LIFE INSURANCE
Term Life Plan equal to annual salary to a maximum of $200,000
AUTO ALLOWANCE
Monthly allowance of $200 for use of his or her personal vehicle in connection with City business
DEFERRED COMPENSATION
City contribution of $100/month to Nationwide 457 Plan; employee may make additional contributions based on IRS Regulations
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT & ANNUAL EDUCATION BONUS Tuition reimbursement is available upon completion of probationary period. Additionally, completion of a degree entitles employee to an annual bonus: AA: $225 / year BA: $375 / year MA: $525 / year Ph.D.: $675 / year

BILINGUAL PAY
Bilingual pay stipend of $125 per month is available to those who regularly utilize a second language and/or sign language during employment
