Position : EHS Specialist
Job Description : International Vitamin Corporation (IVC) is seeking a full-time EHS Specialist to serve as a designated representative for their Philadelphia manufacturing location (providing support to Mira Loma, CA manufacturing as well), coordinating and implementing all areas of the IVC Corporate Program as directed by leadership. The HSES promotes a positive culture while complying with IVC standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
The EHS Specialist is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems. Supports efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal & state laws. Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions. In addition, and is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years in a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) related field or bachelor’s degree in related field.
Knowledge of regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications to Include, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the work place.
Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends.
Must be self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
This position primarily requires sitting, standing and walking.
Requires occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 lbs.
Ability to reach, twist, and bend occasionally.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
