Position : Fleet Analyst

Purpose of Position:
The Fleet Analyst’s primary responsibility is to provide direct analytical and administrative support to the NSU Fleet Manager. Much of the support will revolve around analyzing and planning special projects arising within the department. In addition, duties will include, but not be limited to, periodical cost reporting of various fleet activities; scheduled and ad hoc analysis and reporting of equipment services and fuel data; provide periodical reporting and analysis of third party equipment rental data, including costs, utilization, and rental trends; performing cost/benefit analysis of equipment and components; assistance with the preparation of the department five year business plan; prepare ad hoc data requests from on and off slope departments; compile, evaluate and report monthly costs of offsite equipment maintenance services; prepare reports and data presentations, and other duties as directed by the NSU Fleet Manager.
Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
General understanding of equipment types, fleet operations, and maintenance programs;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Above average computer skills, including use of Windows 10 operating system in a network environment;
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel including the ability to use complex formulas for data analysis, professional formatting and presentation, and use of external data sources;
Demonstrated proficiency with Seagate Crystal Reports including accessing Oracle and MS Access data and linking multiple related tables, summarizing data, use of formulas and custom fields, and formatting of presentation quality reports;
Ability to organize, multi-task, work unsupervised, remain focused amidst frequent distractions, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job duties to include but not limited to:
Data Analysis
Equipment operational/ownership costs
Maintenance shop efficiency
Equipment delay and downtime
Equipment and component tests
Equipment Life Cycle analysis
Cost/benefit analysis
Equipment rental cost analysis
Fuel Consumption reports and analysis
Monthly Shop and equipment rate build-up
Administrative
Assist in preparation of reports and presentations
Monthly Equipment and Fuel Charge-Out & Allocation Reports
Weekly and Monthly Fleet Cost and Data Reporting
Provide ad hoc report data in response to on and offsite requests
Monitor and provide reporting on annual SPCC inspections
Daily Fuel Processing Fleet Connect Fuel System
Maintain and/or monitor all data and data input in FleetFocus Database
Work with shop management team to develop and implement new procedures for shop support staff
Other
Additional Fleet Focus and support duties as required by NSU Fleet Manager
System Administrator Equipment Maintenance Database System (Fleet Focus)
System Administrator Fleet Connect (Field Fuel) System
Work with IT Team to implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve system processes
Certificates, Licenses, or other Requirements:
Driver’s License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
NSTC required
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Pass background check
Pass UA & Pre-hire fit for duty test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $117,000.00 per year
