Online Admissions Representative
The Online Admissions Representative position is primarily responsible for enrolling students in the College’s online programs. Responsible for systematically and ethically advising students regarding enrollment into the institution, working within the standards and guidelines established by Denver College of Nursing. This includes taking lead calls for online admissions, tracking lead inquiries, managing enrollment activity and paperwork, assisting/guiding applicants through the application process (electronic), and properly completing student files. Due to the highly regulated nature of the industry, please be advised that all phone and interview interaction with potential students may be recorded and audited for compliance and quality assurance purposes. This position reports to the Director of Admissions.
Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Be present, ready to work and on-time for all scheduled hours.
Take inquiry calls, set appointment, interview, and follow-up with prospective distance education students.
Conduct personal interviews to qualify candidates, present features and benefits of the program offerings, and prepare the applicant to start the program.
Upholds the highest standard of ethics and truthfulness in providing information to prospective students regarding educational programs, facilities, educational costs, financial aid, completion/graduation/placement, and earnings data.
Accurately present the responsibility of the student regarding what it takes to successfully start the distance education college program, be successful in that program, and graduate.
Maintain confidentiality of all business records and information.
Enroll online students in compliance with Admissions policies and procedures. Maintain full knowledge of the DCN Catalog so as to be able to fully explain all course offerings and ensure the program selection best fits each applicant’s needs and goals. Provide the applicant with all required disclosure statements and information.
Address all disclaimers, waivers, and credit transfers during online admissions.
Track enrollment process and activity history for applicants using the Admissions Dashboard; produce reports as required and follow-up with applicants to assist them as needed in any application areas that are incomplete.
Assist applicants in arrangements for new student orientation and registration.
Direct applicants to Financial Aid to explore tuition financing options. Follow-up with applicants to ensure all tuition-related questions have been addressed by the college.
Explore options for scholarships or other tuition funding from agencies as appropriate.
Effectively advise and assist students in the transition to their distance education program.
Provide assistance to other staff and managers as appropriate.
Represent the college in career fairs, job fairs, and other similar activities as needed.
Assist the Admissions Department with online marketing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Must be upbeat, professional, organized, able to work independently, and a team player.
Must be able to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and represent the company in a professional manner with all customers, personnel, vendors, and students.
Prior sales experience and a baccalaureate degree are required. Experience with higher education admissions is preferred.
Prior experience with CampusVue software preferred.
Classification
The Online Admissions Representative position is a non-exempt full-time position. Work hours may vary, and daily and evening hours may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
The Online Admissions Representative must be able to use a personal computer and other office equipment and work in an environment that can be fast-paced and stressful at times. This position requires physical mobility throughout the facility and community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $52,000.00 per year
