The Pipefitter lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together pipe, fittings, flanges, etc. preparatory to welding by performing the following duties:
Foster and encourage our “Incident-Free Culture”. Ensure that all HSE policies and procedures are followed. Lead by example.
Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Plan and execute complex jobs regarding tools and material needs, rigging and equipment.
Utilizes all pipefitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings including butt welded, socket welded, and threaded fittings.
Track progress of the work. Conduct material take-offs from advanced ISOs, P&ID’s and orthographic drawings.
Identify and apply material grades and pipe diameters to line specs.
Apply knowledge of fitting take-offs and advanced bolt up skills using appropriate torque techniques.
Perform hydro tests of complex piping systems.
Walk down systems for safe-out and initiate the safest plan.
Field measure, fabricate and install complex piping systems and compound rolling offsets.
Apply mechanical skills and safely work with hand tools.
Apply advanced mathematical skills to skillfully calculate loads and select appropriate rigging.
Must be able to set up and operate an oxy-acetylene torch.
Cut and strip insulation.
Report all safety and environmental incidents to the proper supervisor.
Complies with all safety policies and the applicable safety handbooks, leads, and educates fellow employees in safe work ethics, practices and behaviors.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment, in multiple locations with shifting priorities.
Maintain good attendance and work with a positive attitude. Continued education to constantly upgrade skills is highly desired.
Must have a working knowledge of pipefitting techniques and methods.
Must be able to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, Duplex, and various high pressure/temperature alloys
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
Must be proficient in the use of bevelers, threaders and other end prep machines.

Requirements:
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.
