Job Description : Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Chennai office as part of our card operations team within optimize, the McKinsey & Company function that delivers distinctive, positive and productive experiences through various services ranging from travel, events, real estate, sourcing, technology and purchasing for McKinsey & Company employees worldwide.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will assist with invoice payments to ensure compliance with the firm’s purchasing and accounting principles. You will provide support to firmwide internal customers by answering phone calls, responding to complex user issues as well as documenting and closing out tickets. Central to your role will be resolving queries and communicating discrepancies from both internal clients and external vendors. You will take complete ownership of the task through resolution. You will also work with more senior team members to gather and compile data including providing comprehensive reports and follow ups on report requests, and regular updates on status and issues.
You will also participate in various projects to enhance the efficiency of the function as well as suggest ideas for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/university degree preferred
Knowledge of basic business fundamentals, purchasing and accounting principles
Intermediate MS Office knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Results driven
Resourceful problem-solving skills
Organized and detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills
Self-starter with an ownership mentality
Collaborative with a positive energy and attitude
Fluency, both verbal and written, in English
