Position : Creative Chef for Award Winning Wilderness Lodge in Alaska
Job Description : Join chefs Kirsten and Mandy Dixon for a creative summer of adventure in Alaska summer of 2022. At Within The Wild Adventure Company, we believe in quality in all things we do and this is especially true in our kitchens. In our award-winning fine-dining kitchens, we prepare our foods from scratch, use local Alaska products as possible, grow seasonal gardens, and serve innovative and exciting cuisine to both our guests and our staff.
Chefs in our kitchens are professionals who work closely together as a team to create seasonal menus that are some of the most innovative cuisine being served in Alaska.
We look for chefs at Winterlake Lodge who can contribute to our guests’ Alaska adventure, can work in a remote environment successfully, exhibit advanced professional skills, and take pride in ‘at the stove’ work. Winterlake Lodge is a remote award-winning upscale adventure lodge offering guests helicopter adventures into the incredible Alaska Range, fishing, river rafting, and glacier trekking.

Our positions may require some recreational culinary teaching (i.e. sociable interaction) with our guests and working in our lodge kitchen preparing cuisine for our guests and staff. We may require some savory cooking at times. We work approximately 10-12 hours per day, six days per week. Our cuisine emphasizes global inspiration utilizing local products. Positions run from May 15 to the end of September but there is a possibility to join us year-round. This is a creative position for experienced chefs who want to spend time on the edge of adventure and live a summer close to the natural world.
