Job Description : Shelter Worker, Data & Coordination Position Task List
Shelter Workers report to the designated Contract Staff Site Administrator. For operational issues or emergency situations in need of additional oversight, their site administrator will bring the issue to the attention of the designated Site Lead.
Shelter Workers should report all personnel issues, submit timesheets and expense reports, and any other non-emergency human resource issues through their vendor-specific chain-of-command.
Shelter Worker daily sign in and sign outs will be conducted by the designated Contract Staff Site Administrator as well as timesheet approval.
Position Responsibilities
Shelter Workers are responsible for supporting the operational components of non-congregate shelter operations.
Position Limitations
Shelter Workers are not permitted to:

Evaluate clients for medical conditions.
Provide recommendations for standard of care.
Commit funding or resources on behalf of the State. (Instead, those requests will be routed to the IMT Operations Chief and IMT Logistics Chief).

# Task Description
1 Coordinate with federal partners and NGOs to receive clients.
2 Manage intake data and format appropriately for interagency reporting.
3 Provide clients with food and beverages during intake process, as needed.
4 Conduct daily food and beverage deliveries, and during delivery, assess if clients have any unmet needs.
5 Conduct room pre-staging:

Inspect space for cleanliness (refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom)
Turn on the air conditioning/heat
Ensure personal hygiene items are in room or made available

6 Conduct client room orientation:

Escort clients to room
Provide basic room familiarization…lights, locks etc.
Demonstrate how to work the air conditioning and heat
Demonstrate how to work all appliances
Advise clients that they cannot leave their rooms at any time
Advise clients of emergency reporting/evacuation procedures

7 Provide client laundry pick-up and drop-off.
8 Coordinate with hotel housekeeping and maintenance staff for logistical needs.
9 Coordinate reception, management, and distribution of donated resources.
10 Escort COVID positive clients and members of their family unit from rooms for follow-up testing (e.g., 5-day, 10-day).
11 Work with security to help direct clients to stay within appropriate areas
12 Provide clients with personnel care items when requested
13 Reinforce infection prevention and control protocols, including:
14 Collect, compile, and transmit data to external partners within established deadlines.
15 Manage and dispatch transportation and personnel to meet logistical and client transportation needs.
. High level excel proficiency required.
Hours: 8-10 hours p/day, 60-72 hours p/week, Shift: 6a-4p, 2p-12p,
Special Conditions: Staff to be utilized for client discharge

Distributing new N-95s daily
Reminding clients to keep masks on
Frequently sanitizing work stations
Ensuring COVID positive and exposed clients are not wandering outside their rooms and/or interacting with other clients

Pay Package:
$3017 Gross Per Week 60 hours guaranteed
$28.00 Taxed Per Hourly
$42.00 OT Taxed Hourly
$1057 Untaxed Weekly Stipend (must live 50 miles away)
$500 One Time Relocation Bonus
