Position : Dieringer – Library Technician
Job Description : This is an 8 hour/day position for a total of 189 days inclusive of holidays.
Purpose
The purpose of the library technician is to promote and support digital learning and a love of literature.
Essential Duties
Create a welcoming and engaging environment for students
Supervise the library to ensure a vibrant and focused learning community
Provide book talks and story time for students
Manage/add student accounts in Destiny/Follett
Check out all library resources
Have a broad base of knowledge of children’s literature
Maintain inventory of all books, subscriptions, and technology located in library.
Order/replace library resources
Manage and run technology that is housed in the library space
Student support and supervision as needed
Other duties as assigned
