Export Business and Demand Specialist (2200515) – Remote
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for driving improvements in the business processes by working closely with all groups along the value chain, including customer care, supply chain, sales and marketing, production, operational excellence, distribution, logistics and finance. Your goal will be to achieve global end-to-end process improvements through full integration with existing BASF systems that result in improved customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for global demand planning for the group and managing replenishment of Foreign Warehouses.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your background in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field you will create, publish, track, and incorporate sales/agent/customer forecast input.
Demonstrating your expertise in planning and scheduling principles, tools, and techniques you will collaborate with Supply Planner to develop scenarios for supply/demand balancing and to evaluate and provide timely feedback for business opportunity evaluations. You will also lead monthly Demand Planning meetings, maintain and follow-up on action items, prepare meeting presentation and participate in Supply meetings and S&OP meetings.
Based on your expertise in data manipulation and analysis you will manage and reconcile 3rd party warehouse inventory, as well as utilize warehouse inventory reports, sales forecasts and open to ensure international warehouse customer demand is met.
Your interpersonal and collaboration skills will be essential, as you coordinate with product manager, supply chain manager and production planners to resolve product availability issues. You will also plan and track 3rd party warehouse inventory, including entering resupply orders, reviewing export documentation, coordinating with local receiving personnel, assisting affiliates and 3rd party warehouse personnel in resolving issues including invoicing, coordinating with the freight forwarder on order booking and on export documentation.
Your availability to travel, considering the current global supply chain crisis, will allow you to support and lead creative logistics solutions to achieve business shipping and sales targets in response to dynamic conditions.
Relying upon your Supply Chain Management Experience you will manage statistical forecast models, generate statistical forecast, and determine where to utilize in the Demand Planning Process most effectively. You will also, manage slow moving and obsolete inventory at 3rd party warehouses, coordinate with the regional sales managers and sales agents to proactively schedule orders based on inventory and customer forecasts.
Your proficiency with SAP Modules and aptitude for mastering other software which may be utilized in Demand Planning will be key, as you will be assisting to minimize impacts and avoid disruptive impacts in the regions outside of NAFTA.
Your experience with Kaolin Manufacturing and understanding of BASF’s order to cash process will allow you to develop an overall affiliate customer care team strategy and ensure all channels work together to provide accurate answers to customers and partners as quickly and efficiently as possible.
