Position : IT Support Technician
Job Description : The IT Support Technician is responsible for answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with desktop hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. Ideal candidates are proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems (10), and have knowledge of Office 365. Also possess good knowledge of current hardware platforms, mobile devices, and direct thermal printers (Zebra, Datamax).When will you work?Multiple Schedules available including:
Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30
Sunday-Thursday : Sunday 8-4:30, Monday-Thursday: 2:30-11
Tuesday- Saturday: 8-4:30
What you’ll do:
Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, and follow-up for user issues
Schedule and complete preventative maintenance for PCs, laptops, and printers
Load specified software packages such as operating systems or spreadsheet programs into the computer
Provide professional, prompt, and courteous end-user assistance for all computing devices and applications
Handle IT onboarding process and offboarding process for users
Troubleshoot and replace hardware, hard drives, memory, and other networking peripherals
Install, configure, and support copiers, fax machines, printers, scanners, and miscellaneous peripheral hardware
Integrate and track electronic building access
Provide support and assistance pertaining to the Lighthouse building automated monitoring system
Use ServiceDesk ticketing system to support users
What you’ve done:
Obtained a High School Diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred
Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees/management
Trained end-users – both one-on-one and in groups
Quickly identified specific hardware problems and troubleshoot
Background in using a ticketing system
Who you are:
Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365
Have experience with PC imaging software
Possess basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange 2016 management console for user/mailbox administration
Have basic IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting
Experienced in hardware and software on HP and Lenovo Desktops and Laptops
Experienced in configuring, installing, and repairing Apple devices such as iPads
