Job Description : THE POSITION
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a need for a responsible person willing to work for Lackawanna State Park in North Abington Township, PA. If you can adapt to a non-traditional work schedule, work with people, and be a part of a place that is enjoyed by visitors, then Lackawanna State Park has a position that may be of interest to you.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position entails public safety, visitor service work, and outdoor recreation within Lackawanna State Park Complex. Work includes meeting with park visitors to answer questions regarding park facilities, recreational schedules, park history, and environmental features along with explaining park rules, regulations, policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Office work will require use of computer systems to make reservations for patrons. Takes action during emergency situations to bring them under control; provides first aid as needed; organizes and assists with search and rescue operations to locate missing park visitors; inspects buildings and park structures for safety hazards; and operates a motor vehicle. Additional information and work hours:
Seasonal, full-time employment.
Will work weekends, holidays and all shifts as directed by Management.
Work hours 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (will vary).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Necessary Special Requirements:
All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.
