We are a fast-growing and well-funded FinTech startup that has the rare opportunity to build a successful company and do some good in the world at the same time. We are looking for a QA Tester to join our product team on a part time contract basis. This role will be focused on ensuring Copper is developing high quality product feature solutions that meet technical requirements before going to market.

What to expect in your role
You will be joining a small, tight-knit team that has built successful venture-backed businesses in the past, and are excited to do it again.
In this role you will work collaboratively with the product engineering team to test new product features before release. This will primarily include manual testing supported by automation to replicate specific data scenarios. There may also be opportunities to introduce testing automation to improve efficiency and test more stable product workflows.
This role is fully remote (US only) and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This is a part time contract role at 20-30 hours per week.
What you’ll do
Work closely with product, design, and engineering to understand technical requirements of new features and products
Participate in a daily standup with the product engineering team
Develop testing plans to verify product functionality prior to release
Test product functionality to assure successful implementation as defined by requirements
Document issues and collaborate with engineers for resolution
Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce issues identified during testing
Review usage data to identify and reproduce new issues in production systems
What your experience looks like
3+ years of technical experience in quality assurance or related field
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
Extreme attention to detail and careful focus during execution
Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
Understanding of basic programming concepts
Work experience in an agile environment
