Due to federal contract restrictions, candidate must be a U.S citizen and able to obtain a secret security clearance.
Will onboard and train for 4-5 days in San Diego.
Our research team is currently seeking to hire a full-time Field Researchers / Data Collector to collect survey data for the Well Baby, Well Family study, a multi-site study being conducted by the Naval Health Research Center. The Well Baby, Well Family Study is seeking to evaluate the effectiveness of military support services for new parents seeking care in military treatment facility pediatric clinics. This position will work closely with military, governmental, and contract researchers to recruit and collect subject data and maintain accurate records of valuable participant information.This position will be funded for approximately 10 months. We are actively seeking applicants who can commit a minimum of 35 hours a week.
Overview of Position: Location: Data collection activities will occur in three locations: the Pediatrics Department at Tripler, Army Medical Center, Branch Health Clinic Makalapa (Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam), and Branch Health Clinic Kaneohe Bay (Marine Corps Base, HI). Other work activities (completing trainings and preparing study materials) will be completed from the candidate’s home office.Hours: Data collection will occur during clinic hours, M-F, 7:30am – 4:30pm, and Sundays 9:00am-4:00pm (depending on location.) Employees need to be available to work at least 2 Sundays a month as needed.
Key Functions and Expected Performances: – Serve as an on-site Data Collector- Administer consent forms and surveys to military families- Organize study documentation- Ensure compliance with data collection policies- Complete remote trainings on the data collection protocols and other requirements for the conduct human subjects research- Communicate effectively with the Data Manager around logistics- Manage data collection preparations and logistics- Participate in regular meetings with Healthy Steps project staff and other data collectors- Participate in participant retention strategies.
Required Qualifications: – High School Diploma- Minimum one year of work experience in a professional setting- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications: – Associate’s degree- Knowledge of or experience working with the military community- Educational background in social sciences (e.g., psychology/sociology) and experience with human subjects research preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Regular and reliable transportation and regular and reliable access to telephone and internet service
Strong reading and verbal skills
Knowledge and familiarity working with computers and Internet technology
Capable of establishing and maintaining a good rapport with study participants
Be self-motivated, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
Have the ability to keep detailed and organized records of work activities

Pay: $72,345.00 – $119,304.00 per year
