As a data analyst, you will work cross-functionally with data engineers, data scientists, business experts, and external vendors to help modernize our contact centers. You will work on a variety of projects that include automating ETL processes, building analytical models, creating new reporting, and designing visualizations. You will use your analytics experience with SQL, R, and/or Python to quickly translate business requirements to proposed analytical solutions. You will quickly become an expert on contact center data as you learn about how our contact centers support Starbucks partners (employees) and customers.
As a data analyst , you will…
Participates in discussions with business partners to define business question and to consult
Extracts data from various databases; performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, massages, and aggregates data
Applies basic statistical concepts and descriptive statistics to understand and describe relationships in data
Creates impactful visual representations of analytic insights and concise summaries of methodology geared to audience needs; presents selected portions to stakeholders
We’d love to hear from people with:
BA/BS concentration preferred with discipline in Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Economics or Quantitative Social Science
Ability to handle, and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
Skilled experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Strong Proficiency with SQL
Profiency with Python and/or R preferred
Expert knowledge of statistics (descriptive, regression, etc.)
Business experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
Intellectual curiosity – initiative to dive deep to understand the “why”
Skilled communication, data presentation and storytelling skills
