The responsibilities of the International Travel Planner are to be a resource and a team mentor to the regions, to schedule Quality Assurance evaluations according to the client’s requirements as well as keeping consultant utilization and profitability of individual trips as well as the entire region to a maximum.
The International Travel Planner will work closely with the Operations Managers (Account leads) to maintain efficiency and cross-utilization of all clients in the region.
This position reports directly to their regional Head of Operations/Operations Lead. The qualification of the position must meet high levels of courtesy, professionalism, responsiveness, and a devotion to client satisfaction at all times. Position Requirements:Initiate and implement new client programsInternational geographical knowledge and previous experience in planning is a must (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Pacific)A deep understanding of what travel planning entailsA deep understanding of the regions the planning is executed for including different cultures and travel paceAnalytical background with the ability to view and digest information quickly and effectivelyAdvanced Microsoft office skills and strong aptitude to learn new technologies/programsManage Deloitte’s travel management program within the assigned regionEstablish, understand, and implement client work rules (cycle times, # of evaluations per week / per consultant, local and regional holidays, etc.) and manage all data entry into the Deloitte scheduling tools.Create, maintain, and distribute trips (schedules) for multiple consultants and multiple client trips throughout the regionUnderstand country entry regulations (Covid-19 restrictions, visa requirements, etc.)Plan trips in a strategic and long-term approach to bring travel cost downResearch flights and travel options to ensure trips are cost-effective and efficientRecord and track data for all planning efforts:including TO for consultants (sub-contractors) and PTO for consultants (employees) as well as consultant visa details and restrictionsclient portfolio details (including blackout dates and property visit rules)Maintaining and managing consultant utilization charts for each specific brand (consultant productivity)including detailed records for individual client profitability as well as regional and sub-region profitabilityincluding analysis of client progress (% of completion) at any given timeincluding projection of work force required to complete client portfolios within the cycle times established
maintaining and managing consultant availability charts for each specific region (color chart)including the ability to run and understand analysis (reports) regarding the planning progress milestones and completed work summariesLearn and understand the client’s mission, vision, strategy, and business goals and apply this knowledge to inform deliverablesUnderstand client and Deloitte objectives and take personal accountability for aligning own workDemonstrate personal commitment to raising the bar and making an impact that mattersWork with Management to establish improvements within the department/region
Qualifications:Strong attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills (in English at a minimum, second language is a benefit)Articulate and resourcefulStrong organization, decision making, and time management skillsAdheres to deadlinesHas the ability to work on their own initiative and is able to prioritizeWorks well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with a multi-cultured and multi-lingual team baseAbility to give direction to others in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner as well as offer suggestions for process improvementTeam oriented mentality with the ability to work independently3 years managerial experience preferred or 3-5 years scheduling and travel coordination internationallyPrior knowledge in travel planning and/or programs (i.e., Sabre, GDS- Global Distribution System) (e.g., travel agent background)Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience preferred
