Job Description
As a Staff Software Junior Tester, you will be part of our SW QA Team and Product Development Team, your role will be focus on testing new devices throughout SW testing cycle. You will be expected to run sanity test cases, confirm the implementation of enhancements custom to the device, create bugs/issue cases, and validate the SW is, and remains, production ready throughout the life cycle of the device. You will be working on one or more projects; therefore, time management is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and own end-to-end testing of one or more mobile devices with one or multiple Android based software versions.
Execute and confirm automated/manual test cases during the device cycle.
Adjust, learn, and apply effectively process changes, tools, etc. to reduce, improve, and simplify the overall testing effort for the product.
Stay up to date with your counterpart product manager on critical milestones, to ensure a smooth pre-launch and post-launch phases.

Perform mobile cross platform testing on multiple versions of Android.
· Conduct functional, regression, end-to-end, GUI, and acceptance testing.
· Maintain and update test documentation between releases.
· Maintain requirements and create traceability between requirements and test cases.
Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
Produce clear and concise test reports and releasing notes to co-workers when needed.
Provide management with test metrics, reports, schedules, and estimations.
Work closely with developers in bug triage and ensuring closure of bugs.
Provide feedback to development teams on technical, troubleshooting, or operational issues.
Communicate bug status and test case coverage status daily.
Android familiarization is a plus.
Android Debug Bridge (adb) familiarization is a plus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
