The position requires the incumbent to be inOffice Assistant II – $57,981 to $70,504 Annually the office daily and receives direction from the Planning Manager. Experience in a public agency is highly desirable.Office Assistant III – $64,039 to $77,864 AnnuallyCSD: This is a full-time position supporting the Recreation Division providing exceptional customer service and clerical support toCity staff and members of the public. Bilingual skills, college coursework in recreation, office, or business management, and publicsector experience is highly desirable. Assist with a variety of financial related tasks and responsibilities.
Work with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications, as well as the Department’s software programs.
General filing duties and light data entry.Respond to public inquiries with exceptional customer service, on the telephone, through email and in person,
and refer to appropriate staff members for more specific information as appropriate.
*Planning Division: *
Serve as the point of contact for the Planning Division; respond to requests for information from the public.
Proofread documents and conduct basic research.
Create and run basic reports from department databases.
Assist with mailers and labels.
Answer a high volume of phone calls from the public.
Process interoffice and external mail and refer or respond to messages sent to the general Planning Division e-
mail box.
Process invoices for payments and work closely with Accounts Payable staff.
Support community meetings, including set-up and staffing, as needed.
*Recreation Division:

Respond to requests for information from the public by phone, emails, and in-person.
Assist customers registering for Recreation programs and reserving BBQ facilities.Assist Recreation staff with administering department policies and other duties as assigned.
