Position : Equity Research Associate – Health Services & Systems
Job Description : Overall Purpose of the team to be supported
The role of a Research Associate in JPMAM’s Equity Research Department would be to support the Senior Research Analysts in performing wide range of Research projects. The Associates would also be required to assist the Analysts in preparing company review materials (including updating models) and valuation metrics.
Job Description:
Update, build and maintain company models and other periodicals in a timely manner.
Understand the dynamics of how JPM’s stock selection model works.
Familiarize with available Market Databases like BBG and Factset.
Attend management meetings/post earnings call and synthesize relevant information.
Assume end-to-end responsibility for projects and presentations
Become familiar with the contents of SEC filings (10Ks, 10Qs, etc).
Skill-Sets required:
Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Excel is a must
1-2 yrs of Work Experience in Equity Research and/or Financial modelling
Should have the tact to deal with more than 1 analyst at a time and flexible to work longer hours when required
Should possess the ability to analyse Financial Statements and understand the relationship between them.
Functional knowledge of the pharma/medtech and commodities sector is preferable but not mandatory.
