Reports to the Payroll Director. Responsible for processing site payrolls done at corporate, supporting and verifying payrolls processed at remote sites in compliance with company policies.
Essential Functions:
Complete data entry and processing of assigned payrolls by the pre-determined deadline.
Process manual checks as requested.
Support payroll department at sites and verify accuracy of their bi‑weekly payrolls.
Complete the payroll closing process for sites and distribute the reports to them.
Process or assist sites with bonus payments and any other special payrolls requests as needed.
Archive payroll reports.
Setup garnishments/child support orders and review setup completed by sites to ensure proper and timely setup.
Interpret company policies for locations (as they apply to payroll) and train in same.
Train payroll department at sites on payroll processing.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality pertaining to all payroll matters.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years related experience. Some formal education in accounting is preferred. Must have prior knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable working with various computer software programs. Excellent communications skills, accuracy and attention to details are key attributes of a qualified candidate. Unless waived by management, valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
