The Payroll Service Specialist is responsible for providing customer service and support for CHG Payroll and Commissions by acting as the first point of contact between CHG Payroll and our internal and external customers. Will assist team with issues and questions regarding payroll as outlined in job duties and responsibilities.
Your role::
Answer incoming phone calls and email correspondence
Manage multiple sources of incoming payment requests via email, Jira and Request it!
Responsible for researching and resolving questions and issues in their entirety and providing excellent follow up and resolution
Complete TIN Matching on all new entity agreements received at the time of set-up
Complete verifications of employment within 48 hours of receipt
Review incoming payment requests, adjustments and reimbursements by ensuring that forms are complete, approved and coded correctly prior to payment processing
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of CHG
Ability to maneuver, problem solve and correct items in our sales operating systems (i.e., Match Maker, FOX and Bullhorn) as needed
Enter all call and inquiry information into a payroll tracking spreadsheet used for metrics calculations (Atlassian/Jira)
Enter physician corporate contracts and direct deposit information into current software system.
Audit all records for accuracy and completeness to ensure accurate payment to our healthcare providers.
Your qualifications::
At least two years of prior customer service experience using telephone and email. Prior payroll customer service is a plus
Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to deal with difficult situations and the capacity to build and maintain relationships
Excellent problem solving skills, phone skills and email etiquette
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and with reasonable speed
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and manage time effectively
Maintain neat, legible, organized records
Interact with team members, vendors and other CHG employees in a courteous, respectful, businesslike manner
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and co-workers
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills – must be able to communicate effectively in written, one-on-one, and group settings
Preferred
Strong computer skills, preferably MS Word and Excel.
FPC (Fundamentals of Payroll) Certification
Two year degree in accounting or equivalent training
Experience with Workday software
