Job summary
The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced learning strategist with expertise in developing learning experiences as part of Curriculum Architecture, ensuring the team applies the latest research in learning and instruction in all learning pathways being developed for Tech U learners.

This role will Develop curriculums, spec sheets and lead curriculum architecture process and projects within the Learning Strategy team. This role will lead the development, communication, and updates to the learning pathways for current and future job families.
This role will also lead the communications around the feedback loops, so that feedback is used rapidly to improve our Tech U program.

In this role, with your passion for the learners experience and customer feedback loops, you will own the responsibilities related to collecting, sharing, and acting on curriculum for the program to continuously improve Tech U offerings. This role will lead the development, communication, and updates of learning objectives for the learning pathways regarding current and future job families.

This role will develop the process of collecting feedback from our customers, such as Tech U learners, instructors, receiving managers, and other Tech U team members. You will effectively work with T&C Curriculum Development, Subject Matter Experts, Curriculum Developers and Instructional Designers to identify learning objectives, design project outlines and develop appropriate content that meet program needs.

This role will identify ways to improve and evaluate both existing and new content for instructional best practices to enhance the Tech U learner experience.

Tech U Program

As a Tech U Learning Strategist overseeing global curriculum, you will be part of the team managing AWS Tech U, which is a global, accelerated cloud skills development program for early career employees who want to advance their technical and business skills to fill positions as Solution Architects, Technical Trainers, and Professional Services Consultants. This unique program consists of two phases–a 6-month Cloud Training phase followed by a 6-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) phase.

Key job responsibilities
The role can be performed near any US AWS office.

Develops curriculums, content and leads curriculum architecture process and projects within the Tech U, Learning Strategy team.
Effectively work with T&C Curriculum Development, Subject Matter Experts, Curriculum Developers and Instructional Designers to identify learning objectives, design project outlines and develop appropriate

content that meets these needs.

Evaluate both existing and new content for instructional best practices.
Improve the retention of resident learning by creating advanced active training moments and exercises inclusive of adult learning theory.
Attend training sessions with Tech U expert instructors to observe content delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support the writing of narratives
Ability to travel up to 20%, including some global travel
Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in education, training or psychometrics strongly preferred
Experience working on training programs delivered globally
Excellent written communication skills
Experience transitioning manual processes to automated ones
Experience coordinating meetings with customers to share and gather feedback
Experience building and administering surveys and assessments
Recent experience in a fast-paced, multinational technology company

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $101K -160K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
