This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Specialty Additives function. This position will report to the CMC Operations Manager .Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required, subject to a reasonable accommodation required by law and as applicable.Benefits & Perks: Comprehensive Benefit packageStarting pay of $27.13/hourReferral bonus plan – get a job with us and get paid to refer your friendsThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Moves cellulose with lift truck from warehouse to cutting area and using power hoist mounts in positionStarts cutters and threads celluloseRegulates cutter speeds by computer and observation of ammeter readingsCuts prescribed amounts of cellulose as determined by silo scalesInspects screens after each chargeInspects dust collector once each shift or between grade changesKeeps record of ammeter readings, silo weights, cutter temperatures, delays and other pertinent dataSalvages Kraft paper from rolls and balesMaintains good housekeeping in his work areaMay perform other duties as directed by Foreman or SupervisorIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: High School Diploma or GED3 years of Industrial or Manufacturing experienceAbility to work rotating shift schedule including weekends and additional scheduled and unscheduled overtimeAbility to pass required Work Key skills testsThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :Chemical manufacturing in food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic fieldsChemical manufacturing experiencePrevious experience with OSHA required Lockout Tag Out, Confined Space, HAZMAT, PPE RequirementsPrior experience using process control computer systems, (e.g. Delta V)Prior experience with explosion prevention systems (e.g. FIKE)Experience entering data into computer system (e.g. SAP)Ability to maintain data logs which include time, weights, temperatures, pressure, all legibly and timelyPrior forklift operating experiencePrevious experience in an environment utilizing GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO CertificationExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Laboratory Information Systems (LMIS)Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in quality improvement processesIn more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
