Position : Policy Analyst –
Job Description : The Policy Analyst provides executive level support to the Board and its Executive Director concerning issues of policy, regulation, and legislative initiatives. This position coordinates the Board’s adjudicative processes to ensure compliance with Board standards. Under the Executive Director’s supervision, this position manages stakeholder workgroups and serves as the Board’s regulatory coordinator. This position plays an integral role in tracking bills and drafting legislative action summaries on behalf of the Board during the General Assembly session.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License required. Experience drafting, researching, and analyzing complex legal and regulatory documents. Ability to research, analyze, and properly apply complex legal, regulatory, and administrative codes and statutes; ability to prepare complex written reports and documents in a professional and timely manner; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; proficiency in the use of computers and skill in the use of GMAIL and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a college degree with a major concentration in criminal justice, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training. Demonstrated ability drafting, organizing, and tracking regulatory and legislative documents through their life cycle.
Special Requirements
