Job Description : Descriptive Summary:
The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, health communications, and wellness services and staffing is searching for a :Communications Writer/Editor to join our team supporting the Department of Defense Suicide Prevention Office. This is a full-time position located in the National Capital Region.

Core Functions:
Responsibilities of the Communications Writer/Editor will be carried out in a combination of remote work and at the client site (Mark Center), and will include the following:

Write and edit strategic communications for publication, which may include content such as articles, news releases, video scripts, podcasts, print products, social media, and more.
Draft client memos, talking points, briefings, letters, media summaries, and oral comments.
Update style guide regularly and ensure content adheres to its guidance.
Provide meeting support, note-taking, and other duties as needed.
Skills in:
Communicating effectively in writing to meet the needs of the audience.
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Applying the rules of spelling, composition, and grammar to writing or editing tasks.
Following specific style guides while writing and editing content.
Researching information in support of content development requirements and applying knowledge gained when writing.
Creating content for briefings, websites, applications, ePublications, social media, and print products using key messages and talking points from approved communication plans and campaigns or by following specific directions for ad hoc writing requests.
Editing content and meeting minutes to maintain a consistent style and format across projects.
Ability to:
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Regularly reprioritize assignments to meet tight deadlines.
Consider the relative level of effort and benefits of potential actions to recommend the most appropriate one to accomplish the project task.
Incorporate feedback and apply it consistently across projects.
Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Identify inaccuracies or errors in various types of content.
Write clearly and effectively for the defined target audience.
Education and Work Experience::
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, technical writing, or a related field
Work Experience: Three or more years of experience in a communication-related field.
Additional Requirements: :
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be able to obtain a favorable background check
