Job Description : Junior Graphic DesignerThe National Defense Industrial AssociationFull Time – ExperiencedCategory: CommunicationsRequired Education: 2-4 Year DegreeThe graphic designer will work under the direction of the Senior Graphic Designer. This individual will support the in-house marketing and communications team in producing design layouts and graphics for brochures, and creative presentations for in-house NDIA clients.NDIA is looking for a detail-oriented designer who can take direction, has well-developed, proven creative skills and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ideal candidates must have a strong background in producing materials for print as well as online marketing. Proficiency in Adobe CC with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as page layout and editorial design experience are required. A portfolio of work should include print collateral and online graphics.Responsibilities include following existing branding guidelines to:Design print collateral, event banners and programsCreate print, digital, and social media advertisementsCreate PowerPoint presentation materialsCreate appropriate imagery for social media and websites including infographicsLayout long reports with chartsCreate branding images but combining multiple images within PhotoshopQualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Portfolio of relevant work (clean, corporate designs preferred) Associates degree in graphic or digital design (or equivalent work experience)Working experience in Print and Multimedia design An understanding of branding, marketing, and consumer behavior and the ability to apply that knowledge to design Expertise using Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Experience working with marketers, designers, writers, videographers, photographers and developers Knowledge of photography and video production a plus.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/ABILITITES REQUIRED:1. Associates degree (or equivalent work experience)2. 1-3 years in design related position3. Prior experience in a defense or government-related field or organization a plus4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently6. Experience working with web CMS systems a plus7. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and Adobe Creative Suite8. Detail orientation and ability to establish and maintain electronic record-keeping system and files9. Ability to handle fast-paced environment10. Travel: limited travel for conferences is required11.
