Position : HR Assistant
Job Description : Locally owned, thriving, and growing business looking for experienced HR Assistant to join their team. Must be able to handle multiple HR department aspects and maintain confidentiality.Responsibilities: The HR Assistant will be responsible for a full range of HR activities including, but not limited to the following:- Executes all pre-employment screening. Provides recommendations to senior management regarding hiring decisions and salary offers, ensuring that salary offers are within the appropriate range for the job.- Build and Maintain the company’s ATS- Properly conducts onboarding of all new employees.- Ensures that all employees are scheduled for training as needed.- Maintains benefit hour records for each employee.- Responsible for administering leaves of absence and maintaining appropriate records.-Handles all Benefit meetings with employees and enrolls them properly, sets up deductions in Paycor (payroll system)- Becomes an expect in Paycor (HRM) to assist with any needs related to it- Assists in the administration of the performance planning and review program.- Assists management with resolutions of employee concerns, performance issues, and other employee relations matters.- Completes and files all government-mandated employment reports and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform and support findings.- Conducts exit interviews for separating employees.- Maintains all personnel and employment records and files- Ensures all human resources programs and actions follow organizational policies and relevant state and federal regulations.- Assists with the development of training materials for employees.- Properly investigates and documents any employee concerns or complaints following generally accepted HR practices as well as business specific guidelines.- Effectively communicates policies to all employees.- Works with and reports directly to the Controller to minimize HR business risk.-Properly Maintains all Benefit platforms (Medical/Dental/401k, etc)- Performs other duties as assignedEducation/ Experience: Strong communication skillsProficient in general office productsMust be highly organizedBachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in a similar position.Minimum 4 years of human resources experience preferredBilingual (Spanish) preferredCompetitive compensation package, plus benefits.Must be willing to submit to a background check to be considered for this position.Occasional travel to one of our other locations (Manassas, VA and Temple Hills, MD) may be requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
