Job Description : Billing SpecialistAre you looking for an exciting, fast-paced opportunity to use your medical billing skills and judgement as well as a service excellence focus to make a difference for our patients and caregivers?Commonwealth Care of Roanoke, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is currently searching for a dynamic Billing Specialist to bill third party insurances and Medicare as well as maintain the accounts receivable for those assigned payers as part of our dynamic Billing team. This position supports our centers across the state of Virginia and is located in the Roanoke Corporate office.What’s My Primary Role?Complete payer billing for assigned payers and centers per billing schedule.Provide back-up billing (primary as well as coinsurance) for payers assigned to other Billing Specialists.Maintain company goal for accounts receivable for assigned payers.Post cash as assigned.Attend training sessions as necessary.Demonstrate and promote a positive, collaborative, and caring service excellence team environment.Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.Do You Have What It Takes?High school diploma, or equivalent.Minimum two years’ medical/health care billing experience.Medicare and/or Managed Care billing experience.Accounting experience preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe.Experience with Clearinghouses for billing purposes a plus.Demonstrated analytical skilled for reconciliation of patient accounts.High level of initiative, confidentiality, organizational skills, and the ability to follow complex instructions and work with minimum supervision.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Flexible, detail oriented and able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.Because the safety and well-being of our patients and caregivers is so important, Covid-19 vaccination is required.Come work in our safe environment!
