Job Description : Contingencies:Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment HAIR FOLLICLE drug test, and a client required 7-year background check to be able to enter refinery.General Description:The laborer position is responsible for performing general labor work along with assisting craftsmen in performing their tasks. Laborers must apply sound judgement and understanding when carrying out detailed or uninvolved written and/or oral instructions. Must have the ability to analyze and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to read and interpret safety manuals and warning signs, drawings, specifications, rigging diagrams and lifting capacity charts for equipment and load carrying parts. Must display capable oral communication skills and have the ability to provide and receive oral safety warnings, instructions and task assignments. Must be proficient in mathematics to include addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers, multiplication and division with 10’s and 100’s and have the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.This position will be responsible for driving CCI’s Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Review and comply with the various Client’s safety programs.Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.Assemble and repairs oilfield machinery and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.Assist in civil and mechanical construction, excavation / trenching, backfill / compacting, raking, shoveling, cleaning, and organizing materials.Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.Loosen or tighten pipe, casing, tubing and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to use a band saw, mag drill, grinder, handheld portable drill, read a tape measure, and other applicable hand tools/power tools.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eye-wear is required in most working situations.Requirements: Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED is required.A current Cook Inlet Training Standard (CITS) health safety card or 24-hour Hazwoper (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training card is required.TWIC card is REQUIRED for the refinery.A valid driver’s license is required.Ability to pass a 7-year background check and hair follicle pre-employment and random testing.Preferred Qualifications:Experience around heavy equipment in an oilfield environment is preferred.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 70 pounds for 20 feet.RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.Job Type: Full-time
