Position : Housekeeping Manager
Job Description : We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to lead our team of housekeepers and ensure we provide excellent customer service. We are currently operating as a homeless shelter and the Housekeeping Manager must be able to handle a wide variety of clientele, difficulties, and messes. Housekeeping Manager responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members and checking private and public areas for tidiness. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service skills and a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities. Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied.ResponsibilitiesTrain housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasksOversee staff of both English and Spanish speakers on a daily basisCheck rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanlinessSchedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absenceEstablish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standardsMotivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the jobRespond to customer complaints and special requestsMonitor and replenish cleaning products and guest toiletriesEnsure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areasTrack and document damage to roomsSupervise bed bug inspections and treatmentManage handling extreme messes and biohazard cleaningsHire additional staff as neededSkillsGood communication with team, management, and guestsPositive customer relationsHands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizationsAbility to use industrial cleaning equipment and productsExcellent organizational and team management skillsStamina to handle the physical demands of the jobFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekendsRequirements2-3 years work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or a similar role21 years or olderFluent in Spanish and EnglishHigh school diploma is requiredCompensationPay is DOE between $25-30/hrPTO availableTuition Reimbursement availableBonus Pay depending on performanceJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountPaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayOn callSupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Anchorage, AK 99501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Cleaning: 2 years (Required)Language:English and Spanish (Preferred)Work Location: One location
