Job Description : Mat-Su Health Services is excited to present the opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our Dental Services team. Mat-Su Health Services requires all staff to be vaccinated against Covid-19 consistent with CMS mandates.

This position may be hired as a Dental Assistant I or Dental Assistant II depending on experience. If you have at least one year of clinical experience as a dental assistant and have experience using electronic health records and a variety of Microsoft Office products, please keep reading. Responsibilities for Dental Assistant II are more complex. We give preference to candidates who have graduated from an accredited dental assistant program and/or are certified as dental assistant.
Our positions require strong team players and self-starters. As a Dental Assistant I you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in a variety of activities, including but not limited to preparing treatment rooms for patients; taking patient medical history; taking x-rays; preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment; positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, passing instruments; selecting, mixing and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth; taking impressions of patients’ teeth, documenting dental care services by charting in patient records; as well as other duties generally performed by dental assistants.

Starting Wage: $16.50/hour for Dental Assistant I and $19/hours for Dental Assistant II. Starting wage increases corresponding to your experience and skill level.
