Job Description : Crane Service Technician Washington Crane & Hoist Company, a leading provider of material handling solutions for the industrial market in the Western US, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Field Service Technician at our Anchorage, AK & Pacific/Vancouver, WA facilities.At Washington Crane & Hoist we believe in providing our staff with the support they need to succeed in bringing the absolute best of service and safety to our customers.We are working hard to ensure our team is one that helps each other overcome obstacles and achieve personal success. Job satisfaction is very important, if your current employer doesn’t understand that – please talk to us.Position Summary:Perform field services on Overhead Cranes, Hoists, and related equipment, at customer jobsites primarily located in Western Washington. This is a full-time, hourly position.Job Functions:Perform inspections of mechanical and electrical systems to ANSI, OSHA/WISHA, NEC, and CMAA standards. Document findings and report unsafe conditions or urgent issues to the customer.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner, working in an individual or team environment. Properly document work or findings on service reports.Perform installation of new equipment and modification/modernization of existing equipment.Perform and document site surveys in support of salespersons and project managers.Operate and maintain a company service vehicle in a clean and professional manner. Report maintenance or operational issues to the Service Manager.Attend safety training courses provided by the company or customer and follow established safety rules.Additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or other company management.Job Requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment. Crane experience is preferred, but not required.Attention to detail with strong organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAvailability for occasional evening/weekend work and out of town travel (typically 5 days or less)Willing and able to work at heights – frequently up to 30’ and occasionally up to 100’+.Physical Requirements:Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, climb, balance, reach, stretch, and stoop.Ability to occasionally push, pull, kneel, and crawl.Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
