Job Description : Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. is a well established refuse and recycling collection company serving over fifteen municipalities throughout Southern California and employing over 1200 full time employees. Burrtec is a family owned company that firmly believes the key element to our success is knowing how important each employee is in the organization.We have the following position at our Victorville division: DriverCollects refuse or recyclable material from containers and dumps into truck, on a designated route, must be available to work weekends.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Will drive truck within a designated route and frequently push/pull bins from enclosures.Will collect refuse or recyclable materials by operating hoisting device that raises bin or container into truck.Will transport load to disposal area.Will complete pre and post trip inspection.Will communicate with dispatch on an ongoing basis.Must maintain good customer relations.Must maintain cleanliness of vehicle at all times.Must be available for shifts scheduled on weekends or holidaysPerforms other duties as assigned by management.The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list; additional tasks may be assigned; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demandsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Must have a valid Class “A” or “B” California Commercial Driver’s License, required.
