Job Description : LVLUP Manufacturing & Distribution – is a growing manufacturer and distributor of premium adult-use cannabis products. Our HQ is in the heart of downtown, adjacent to the Arts District. Our products are enjoyed by consumers throughout the State of California and our distribution network reaches around 350 retailers and delivery services per month. This position is an important role within the organization and is an exciting growth-oriented opportunity to build upon your professional experience, leadership skills, and your passion for the licensed cannabis industry. In this role it is necessary to be effective at innovation, formulation, developing based on data, and supporting a field-based network of service/sales support individuals with best-in-class products. This position is an in-person role that reports to the CEO and Co-founder who is located in the HQ office in Los Angeles.Our Flagship Brand – Lime: The Production Manager role will help develop the next breakthrough-cannabis product as well as improving existing formulations to meet process improvement or regulatory compliance goals. This person will engage with the marketing and sales teams to understand consumer trends and participate in brainstorming sessions to create the next big idea in cannabis. They will utilize the experience gained in previous roles to create and refine formulations to take new product concepts through ideation to commercialization. Having a strong background in confectionery science is preferred or equivalent experience in developing cannabis edibles. If this sounds like the opportunity you have been waiting for…Take action and apply today!Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage a team of cooks, production assistants, and machine operators and help cultivate a productive and positive work environment.Review production employee timesheets and ensure all time is accounted for and being attributed accurately to production batches.Conduct employee performance reviews and ensure accountability across production staff. Set standards for performance and communicate these standards to production staff.Monitor production output and assist with recruitment and staffing as operations scale.Assist in the improvement of processes for more efficient output.Duties/ResponsibilitiesFormulate large batches of cannabis edibles following Standard Operating Procedures. Formulate large batches of cannabis tincture following Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure proper handling of equipment and machinery used in edibles manufacturing.Manage the production schedule through the monitoring of finished goods inventory levels and the lead time of production.A constant presence on the production floor, supervision of active production, and the coordination of various production departments – cooking – processing – packaging.Monitoring of ERP and METRC to ensure accuracy with regard to Work in Progress batches and high-value cannabis inputs like terpenes, and cannabis oil.Ensure daily counts of Work in Progress batches, terpenes, and cannabis oil to ensure inventory accuracy.Ensure excellent QA/QC of products during each stage of the production process.Work with the Purchasing and Systems department to ensure sufficient raw material and packaging inventory – assist with raw material forecasting/material resource planning.Create and improve the current process and SOPsWork with the HR department to identify and ensure all hiring needs are met. Create and update job descriptions for all positionsSet team up for success, constantly survey team regarding equipment or supplies-related needs; make purchase requests through purchase request systems.Required Skills/Abilitiesvalid ID is required, subject to a background check also.3+ years experience managing a CPG manufacturing facility, preferably in food manufacturing or equivalent experienceYour own transportation and occasional driving is requiredYour own cell phone and laptop are requiredPrevious management experience highly preferredPrevious Cannabis Edibles Manufacturing ExperiencePrevious inventory management, warehousing, accounting, or ERP a plusFluency in both written and spoken EnglishMust have excellent manual dexterity and impeccable personal hygieneEducation and ExperienceAt least College Degree or equivalentComputer Operations AbilitiesFluent in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel.Experience with Google suite a plus (ie Google Sheets)Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedlyJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Flexible spending accountPaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Commission payExperience:Cannabis: 3 years (Required)Edibles Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)Work Location: One location
