Job Description : Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/business-oriented field, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in product management, consulting, or sales operations.
Management of diverse-functional teams (e.g., strategy, operations, product management, finance).
Experience in managing the planning cycle for an organization with cross-functional engagement and prioritization.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with IT strategy and implementation to support core business processes.
Experience in leadership with change management.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive change at a large scale.
Analytical acumen and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology applied to business processes.

As the Vice President of Operations, you will Report directly to Google’s President, Global Affairs, and sit on the Global Affairs Leadership team. You will be a proven, tactical leader with strategic and operational experience. The role plays an integral part in the development of and execution against the overarching Global Affairs operations strategy for the year.
In this role, you will activate and streamline the global operational capabilities of the team, delivering our services and work across the matrixed structure more effectively and helping us support Google’s mission and teams. You’ll be a team player, working collaboratively with colleagues across Global Affairs, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders in similar roles across Google.
Responsibilities
Own and identify opportunities to improve end-to-end operations and systems across Global Affairs (i.e., leading annual strategy, planning, and budgeting process across the global team).
Develop and manage metrics to better measure operational performance, developing responsive initiatives and targeted investments to improve outcomes over time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, CorpEng, Procurement, Finance, People Ops) to ensure an aligned approach to operations, and identify opportunities to maximize effective and consistent use of systems and technology to meet current and future needs.
Provide an internal consulting service for the Global Affairs leadership for on-call problem solving and strategic analysis.
Oversee a centralized function to create and curate specialized trainings for our organization’s employees, addressing areas for improvement, and supporting career development paths.
