Job Description : Barista/FOH Customer Service $18-20 an hour (including tips) Lola’s Cafe is a family owned, community cafe in Ladera Ranch, serving fresh quality gourmet food, coffees, teas and baked goods + offering a marketplace of quality retail items.We strive to offer a work environment where each crew member takes pride is her/his work, provides excellent customer service, and is passionate about creating an amazing cup of coffee/drink for each guest who walks into our cafe!We are looking for passionate individuals who will deliver a top notch, positive, customer service experience for every guest. Our crew is what will make the difference and sets us apart from the competition.ESPRESSO BARWE USE A SEMI-AUTOMATIC MACHINE … Grinding, tamping & calibrating skills is a plus. However, we will train on our philosophy and flavor profile.Baristas with experience: we invite you to wow us and our customers with your rocking skills! Pay rate is dependent on your level of skills and experience.Barista Requirement & job information: Prepare/serve hot & cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies and loose leaf teas as required by recipe and correct temperature.Excellent customer service skills is a must.Latte art a plus (can train).Clean/sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment.Stock customer service stations with paper products and/or beverage prep items.Check refrigerators to ensure proper functioning and temperature.Must understand the FIFO system for proper food storage and food handling.Must have a food handlers permit.Full Time + Part Time available.Hours of operation: 6am-5pmMust be available Saturdays or Sundays, both days is a plus for us.FOH & Customer Service Requirement: Our customers are our livelihood. We are a part of the community. Providing a solid experience so guests enjoy their time at our cafe is our top priority.Being professional, efficient with your time, multi-tasking + a friendly disposition are key to our philosophy of providing guests with excellent customer service every day.Completing orders for accuracy and delivering food and drinks to guests in a timely manner.Knowledge of cafe menu items and owner philosophy.Describe menu items to customers & suggest items that might appeal to them.Team members help with bussing and running, dishes as needed, as well as end of day closing/cleaning responsibilities.We use Clover POS – an easy to use system.We are a full service Cafe offering patio dining (no inside dining during COVID mandated restrictions), take away, pick up, DoorDash + GrubHub.SHIFTS & HOURS OF OPERATION: *Shifts are from 6am – 5pm.We are closed Mondays.Shifts: 4, 6 or 8.5 hours.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid sick timePhysical Setting:BakeryCoffee shopSchedule:Day shiftEvery weekendWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsCOVID-19 considerations:We are very serious about COVID-19 considerations both for our employees and customers.
