Job Description : Cordero Construction Inc. is looking for a reliable Construction Project Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.Cordero Construction Inc has been in Santa Barbara For over 20 years, Starting as Cordero Carpentry and since 2019 as Cordero Construction Inc. We have many beautiful past projects and a full schedule of incoming work. We would like to find a good fit to join our family like team and grow together over the next years. www.corderoinc.comResponsibilitiesOversee and direct construction projects from meeting potential clients to completion of the project. Understand and compile clients desires and needs into workable formats and ensure material orders correct and timely.Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs and ensure cost are controlled.Oversee all onsite and offsite activities to ensure a first quality result.Coordinate and direct Cordero workers and subcontractorsSelect materials and coordinate Client selections and ordering process.Meet contractual conditions of performanceReview the work progress on daily basisPrepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status as requestedPlan ahead to prevent problems- notifying upper management of any and all concernsObtain permits from agencies as requiredAnalyze, manage and mitigate risksEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniquesMaintain safe, efficient, presentable conditions on siteEnsure projects are built in accordance of the plans and with a high quality of workmanshipCommunicate effectively with sales and office staffComplete all required inspectionsMaintain excellent relationships with city, county, and state agenciesSkillsProven working experience in construction management at least 5 years of relevant and ideally local experienceAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.Understanding of all facets of the construction process including energy efficiency and current building standards.Experienced and Skilled with construction management software packages like Buildertrend or Procore.Ability to plan and see the “big picture”Competent in conflict and crisis managementA Team Player with Excellent Work EthicLeadership and human resources management skillsExcellent time and project management skillsBS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field desired but not required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hourBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offRetirement planSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:Project management: 5 years (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
