Position : Assistant Buyer
Job Description : The Assistant Buyer is responsible for supporting the Buyer/Merchandiser in their objectives of purchasing inventory for the business and ensuring that the inventory is displayed, positioned, and managed effectively. The Assistant Buyer/Merchandisers duties include item setup in the point of sales system, communication with the Buyer/Merchandiser, management team and vendor reps for product info and assisting management with merchandising inventory at store level.The Assistant Buyer/Merchandiser works closely with the Buyer/Merchandiser and management team at each location to ensure that products are setup properly in the POS system and subsequently displayed and merchandised in an effective manner. These responsibilities include:Assisting in developing an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase ordersAssisting in delivering a weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicates the invoice number for all closed ordersWorking within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing productsAssisting the Buyer/Merchandiser with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basisEffectively communicating with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate and displayed properlyMonitoring inventory displayed on the salesfloor and reporting back to the management team and Buyer/Merchandiser.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Honolulu, HI 96814: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Procurement: 1 year (Preferred)Purchasing: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
