Job Description : Maui Orthopedic Institute is a small, privately owned, orthopedic office. We have an immediate opening for a full-time receptionist to support our two orthopedic surgeons specializing in Hip and Knee arthroplasty and sport medicine.This position requires directly working with our physicians to provide clinical patient care in our growing orthopedic clinic. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, reliable and true team player for our busy office. They must be able to multi-task and easily adapt to change. Medical office experience is preferred. Knowledge of health insurances a plus. Customer service and computer experience is required.Job Responsibilities:Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments on the phone or in person.Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information along with filing and retrieving patient records.Obtains revenue by recording and collecting patient charges.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed.Receptionist Qualifications / Skills:Customer serviceTelephone skillsAttention to detailSchedulingProfessionalismMulti-taskingJob Type: Mon-FriTypical office start time: 8 AMTypical office end time: 5 PMSalary: Pay based on experienceJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Common surfaces are sanitized regularly.
