This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:30am – 5:00pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service
Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
Respond to complex customer calls
Resolve customer service inquiries which could include:
Benefit and Eligibility information
Billing and Payment issues
Customer material requests
Physician assignments
Authorization for treatment
Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems, OR 1 year of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
Available to work 40 hours per week anytime within the operating hours
Prior stable work experience
Experience with Microsoft Word (Create and Edit documents), Microsoft Excel (data entry and sorting) and -Microsoft Outlook (create and send emails, calendar management)
Soft Skills:
Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be
Telecommuting Requirements:
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
