Our extremely innovative Internet client is looking for a contract Community Manager to support the execution of online community strategies to engage creators and grow online spaces. A huge quality we are looking for in an ideal candidate is “passion for experiences that bring people together.” This role will support the Head of Community Programs and the Head of Online Community in the operation of the company’s signature club program.
The Community Manager works first hand with company community leaders to help them shape, launch and run clubs so that more independent creatives can find belonging and inspiration as they connect, learn and grow together. The role will also serve as an attentive listener and conversation starter for creators in online spaces, executing the day-to-day engagement tactics of a daily, weekly, monthly and quarter content calendar to ensure creators are collaborating, learning, and conversing effectively with each other.
Job Duties:
Help scale the club Program operations- act as first point of contact for club requests, build and launch new clubs, support the expansion of the club Captains program & maintain program reporting.
Support community programs – provide execution support for existing and in development of Community events and programs
Cultivate the company’s creator community – represent the company’s Community team with candid and kind communication in online and offline forums.
Increase the engagement and quality of our creator communications in online spaces: Expertly navigate community building tactics in our online Community spaces generally, and specifically in helping to build and retain cohorts of program participants, and community moderator participation and retention.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in community management and other community/customer-focused roles and passion for community & operations
Online community engagement: Representing and fostering a positive community experience in online space using Discord and similar tools from the perspective of a moderator or administrator
Community event & program execution: Supporting events that fosters relationships between community members and with the company. Experience with event registration and hosting platforms like Splash, Zoom and Welcome a plus.
Data-tracking and reporting: Compiling program metrics and streamlining reporting.
Strong sense of empathy: Excellent written and verbal skills, effective at facilitating open and sometimes dicult community/customer conversations with a positive, solutions-oriented outlook.
Organized and detail-oriented: Able to sequence tasks and manage time effectively.
Superfan of creator and internet culture: Direct experience with creators or as a creator is a delightful nice-to-have
Projects you may work on:
Vetting new applications for club Captains
Updating the club Captain’s guide with “how-to” videos and checklists.
Revamping the club dashboard
Making weekly/daily posts in the company’s server to engage creators.
Managing online Q&As with cross-functional company teams and the creator community
Working to help train community moderators to teach them how to execute community management best practices
